Our Graduates

Our boys and girls thrive in our nurturing Lower School, constantly gathering life skills to prepare them for years to come. They will graduate our Lower School with increased independence, more confidence and critical organizational skills.

Since our Lower School is coeducational, and our Upper School is for young women only, our boys graduate from Oak Knoll after grade 6. A full-time director of student services works with our boys and their families to guide them through the secondary school application process. We offer a personalized approach to help families identify the best fit for their son, because we recognize that every student has different strengths, interests, and needs.

There are many wonderful Catholic, independent and public schools in our area with whom we work to help place our boy graduates. Historically our boys have attended Delbarton, Oratory Prep, Morristown-Beard, Newark Academy, Pingry, Peck, and area public schools. For more information on the placement process, please visit student support services.

Our grade 6 girl graduates move up the hill into our Upper School, where they embrace the all-girls learning environment, explore new opportunities in the arts and sports, and focus on their academics. Typically 100 percent of our girls matriculate to our Upper School. They are given the chance to spend a “visiting day” with the Upper School girls in grade 7, and are invited to several Upper School events (e.g., concerts and plays) to ease the transition.
