The Bonaventura Hall Library houses more than 11,000 books, a variety of print and electronic resources and a SMART Board teaching center. Eighteen computer workstations provide students in grades K-6 with access to the online catalog, the school’s numerous subscription databases, the Internet and all of the school’s networked resources. The library circulates over 650 videos to support curriculum and also maintains an extensive professional resource section.
The facility is staffed by a full-time library media specialist and an assistant. Regularly-scheduled classes for all grades provide instruction in information literacy skills. In addition, the library serves as a center for project-based learning and content enrichment. Our focus is two-fold: to develop the information literacy skills necessary for the 21st century and to instill a life-long love of reading.
Special events throughout the year include a Book Fair, Look-It-Up Club, Book Swap and Author Day.
Hours: 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. on all school days.
