Welcome to the online Oak Knoll alumnae/i community, and a
special welcome to the new alumnae/i – our class of 2011! We also send our congratulations to our grade
6 graduates as they either come up the hill to the Upper School or leave Oak
Knoll for their new schools!
Oak Knoll alums are an exemplary group of individuals who
carry the spirit of the Holy Child mission with them long after their days as
students. For this reason, I am honored
to serve as the Oak Knoll Alumnae/i Association Board President. I joined the Alumnae/i Board in 2005 after
attending my 15th Reunion.
Not only has my participation as a member of the board given me the
opportunity to work with both familiar and new faces at Oak Knoll, it has also
strengthened my connection to the school and reaffirmed my commitment to all of
the values and ideals that Oak Knoll holds so dear.
The Oak Knoll Alumnae/I Association Board consists of more
than 20 members who are committed to supporting and serving the Oak Knoll
family. We provide a wide range of opportunities for socializing, networking,
and participating in community service, most recently sponsoring a food drive
for St. Teresa’s food pantry right here in Summit. In addition, the alumnae/i board organizes
seasonal and regional social events and also participates in fundraising
efforts both for the annual fund and for our own board-sponsored scholarship
and “Extras Fund” for deserving students.
One of our biggest jobs is to plan and execute Oak Knoll’s annual
Reunion weekend that is held on campus every spring. The board offers alums a terrific way to get
involved, give back, reconnect with old friends and make new friends…all for a
great cause.
The goal of the Oak Knoll Alumnae/i Association Board is to
keep our alumnae/i connected to Oak Knoll and to continue to foster the Holy
Child traditions that are so unique to our school and its community. If you are interested in becoming involved
with the alumnae/i board, we would love to hear from you. Please contact me or
any one of our Board members if we can be of any assistance to you.
Come back and visit Oak Knoll…we are always happy to welcome
our alums “home.”
