Summer General Information

The 2012 Summer Adventures program begins on June 25, offering summer adventures to children ages 3-16. Age-appropriate divisions within the camp offer enriching, active, creative opportunities for playful learning.

Head counselors are certified teachers, and a registered nurse is in attendance each day. All campers receive a nutritious lunch and snack, along with a Summer Adventures t-shirt and backpack. Extended care (early morning and afternoon) is available.

Counselors:

Our highly dedicated staff is made up of certified teachers, college students and high school students. Certified teachers serve as head group counselors and lead instructors for camp activities. College and high school students serve as assistants in camp groups and activities. We carefully select staff members who have an interest in children. Staff members receive CPR, AED, and first aid training, as well as training on policies and procedures specific to the Summer Adventures program and American Camp Association prior to the start of each session.

ACA Accreditation:

The Summer Adventures program is accredited by American Camp Association (ACA). What does this mean to our families? It shows that we care enough to undergo a thorough review of our operation to maintain accreditation. ACA camps must meet up to 300 standards for health, safety and program quality. These standards are recognized by courts of law and government regulators as standards of the camp community. Accreditation is voluntary; our continued accreditation reflects our commitment to maintaining industry standards.

Campers have use of air-conditioned classrooms and a dining hall, large turf sports field, three tennis courts, computer lab, dance studio, music studio, 520-seat auditorium with performance stage, art studio, and a 20' by 40' above-ground pool.
