Both Extreme Sports, Performing Arts, and Visual Arts Camps are full-day sessions, from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Our counselors are experienced college and high school enthusiasts from their area of expertise offering the best possible instruction. Lunch and ice pops are provided.
Extreme Sports Camp
The Extreme Sports Camp is dedicated to our growing athletes in grades 3 through 8.
This camp is designed for all levels of players––beginner, intermediate or advanced. Campers will have an opportunity to participate in a wide range of sports rather than one specific sport––providing campers with a fun-packed day. Each morning, campers will receive instruction appropriate for their developmental level through drills, practice, and games, exposing campers to multiple sports and athletic experiences. Campers will have an opportunity to improve their game in basketball, baseball, soccer, lacrosse, tennis and flag football. In the afternoon, campers spend time swimming and participating in other camp activities. The group may be divided as necessary into groups according to age and athletic ability. Group activities provide an environment that promotes teamwork, integrity and good sportsmanship. Our coaches are experienced high school and college athletes from each sport who wish to share their passion for sports. We hope to plant the seeds for a lifetime of sports passion, appreciation and, above all, participation.
There will be a trip to a Somerset Patriots baseball game for Extreme Sports sometime during the summer.
Performing Arts Camp
Adventures Performing Arts Camp is designed for our young performers in grades 4 through 8 and is available for three two-week sessions.
Do you dream of standing in the spotlight and hearing the applause of an audience? Imagine sharing your dreams with kids just like you who love theater and the performing arts. Our program is for children in grades 4 through 8 and provides an environment in which young performers can develop life skills as they learn to use their imagination and creative energies. Campers spend their morning rehearsing selected pieces, learning the tools of the trade (body, voice, imagination and emotions) through theater games, exercises, improvisation and short scripts–– all in preparation for each production that is held on the last day of each session. In the afternoon, campers will participate in other camp activities such as art, computers, and swimming. The curtain is going up on a summer filled with excitement and the magic of theater!
There will be a trip to a Somerset Patriots game sometime during the summer.
