The Oak Knoll community enjoys several special fundraising events throughout the year. Funds raised by these events go directly towards supporting our students and faculty. Most events are run by volunteers through the Parents’ Association and are successful because of their generous donations of time, talents, and gifts.
Grand Prix
The Grand Prix was created in 1977 to support and enhance programs at the school. Sponsored by the Parents’ Association, the evening includes a gala dinner dance along with silent and live auctions, and a car tuition raffle, which benefits the school. The event is attended by current and past parents, trustees, alumnae/i, faculty, staff, and friends of the school. Each year, the Grand Prix provides an opportunity for the entire community to come together and celebrate Oak Knoll while raising needed funds for the school. This year's event is themed "Go Green Grand Prix."
The Fashion Show
The Oak Knoll Fashion Show, sponsored by the Parents’ Association, was re-introduced in 2006 as an event appealing to the mothers of both the Lower and Upper Schools. The event incorporates a ticket auction, grand raffle, dinner, fashion show, and senior presentations. The Fashion Show celebrates the outstanding qualities of our students by allowing our seniors to be spotlighted as both models and event volunteers. The Fashion Show is attended by current and past mothers, trustees, alumnae, faculty, staff, and friends of the school.
The Royal Boutique
Since 1993, The Oak Knoll Parents’ Association has coordinated the Royal Boutique. This three-day shopping event held in Tisdall Hall brings together over 50 premier vendors offering an incredible selection of jewelry, handbags, clothing, toys, gifts, home furnishings and more. The Royal Café and the Royal Bakery offer shoppers delicious meals and snacks throughout the event. The Royal Boutique is a tradition that the entire local community looks forward to each year as a kick off to the holiday shopping season.
The Oak Knoll Golf Classic
The Oak Knoll Golf Classic is a golf outing organized by the development office. The event is an opportunity to enjoy a wonderful day of golf and camaraderie while raising necessary funds for the Oak Knoll Acorn Fund for Endowment. The day begins with a barbeque lunch followed by a full round of golf. Prizes are awarded at the end of the day, while participants enjoy a cocktail reception and take part in a silent auction. The event is attended by current and past parents, trustees, alumnae, faculty, staff, and friends of the school.
