Inspired Beginnings

The application process begins once you have submitted a brief Applicant Profile, which provides preliminary biographical and family information. The application fee is $75, payable online with Applicant Profile submission. Once the Applicant Profile has been submitted, you will have access to Oak Knoll’s admission portal, which includes your application checklist of required application materials.

• Parent Questionnaire -  This comprehensive form asks parents or caregivers to share insights into your child's development, interests, experiences, and your family's values. For Pre-K and Kindergarten applicants without formal schooling, we ask about your child's behavior in any social setting. This questionnaire is an essential part of our admission process, helping us understand how your child might thrive in our community.

• Current Teacher Recommendation - This form will become available on November 1 on your application checklist found in the admission portal.  Through our system you will be able to email the teacher directly the confidential form.  The recommendation form will provide Insight from current teachers regarding your child’s academic, physical, social, and emotional development.

• Program Director, Principal or School Counselor Recommendation - This form will become available on November 1 on your application checklist found in the admission portal.  Through our system you will be able to email the Principal/Director/School Counselor directly the confidential form.  The recommendation form will provide Insight from your current program’s Principal/Director/or School Counselor regarding your child’s development and parent participation. 

• Release of Records (Official Transcripts or Developmental Progress Report) - This form will become available on November 1 on your application checklist found in the admission portal.  Through our system you will be able to email your child’s current program directly to submit official reports.

On Saturday, January 25, 2025, Oak Knoll will host a playgroup for all Pre-K and Kindergarten applicants. During this session, children are grouped by age in classrooms where they engage in peer play facilitated by Oak Knoll Lower School faculty. This relaxed environment allows us to observe how children interact and participate in a school-like setting. Additionally, a member of the Oak Knoll Office of Admission will conduct a brief, individual assessment for each child. This playgroup is an important part of our admission process, providing valuable insights into your child's social and developmental readiness for our program.

• September 1, 2024 - Application for 2025-2026 Opens
• October 1, 2024 - Informational Tours Begin
• December 1, 2024 - Applicant Profile Due
• January 3, 2025 - If applying for Financial Assistance (Kindergarten applicants only), the Clarity Application is Due
• January 24, 2025 - All Supporting Materials Due
• January 25, 2025 - Pre-K & Kindergarten Applicant Playgroup
• February 28, 2025 - Lower School Admission Decisions Sent
