Our All-Girls Middle and High School Admissions Process

Thank you for your interest in Oak Knoll School. Our admission process is all about getting to know you and your daughter. The Admission Team is here to help you every step of the way!

Admissions Process At a Glance

Visit our Upcoming Events page to view our current open house or small group tour offerings! These events are a great way to learn more about Oak Knoll’s curriculum, traditions, extracurricular offerings, and more.

*Please note: Open houses and small group tours are the only ways to get to know Oak Knoll before applying. Student visit days experiences will be available to accepted students.

Applying to Oak Knoll is easy! The online application process begins once you have submitted your Student Profile, which is a brief form, to be completed by a parent or caregiver, to provide us with preliminary information about your family. The Student Profile also has space for your daughter to tell us about the activities and interests most important to her. The application fee is $75, payable online with the submission of your Student Profile. Once you’ve submitted the Student Profile, you will have access to your application portal, which includes a checklist of the required application materials. We encourage you to submit the Student Profile as soon as possible, so we can get the process started.

Oak Knoll also accepts the Standard Application Online (SAO). To learn more about using the SAO and begin your application, click here.

Once you have submitted your Student Profile and accessed your application portal, you will see the option to sign up for a family tour led by one of our Student Ambassadors as well as an interview time for your daughter. Parents/Caregivers will also have a chance to speak with an admission officer during this visit.

At this time, the deadline for the 2024-25 application has passed. We are still accepting applications, and if you are considering applying, we encourage you to complete all materials as soon as possible. Late applications will be considered after decisions are made for those whose applications were received by the December 1 deadline.

Once you’ve submitted the Student Profile, you will have full access to your application portal, which includes a checklist of required application materials. In addition to the Oak Knoll application, we also accept the Standard Application Online (SAO).

All applicants are required to take either the ERB Independent School Entrance Examination (ISEE) or the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT). You may register online at www.iseetest.org or at www.ssat.org. These tests are both being administered in-person and virtually. Additional details are available on the testing websites.

For the ISEE, Oak Knoll is hosting two paper-based examinations in the months of November and January, exclusively for Oak Knoll applicants. Email admissions@oakknoll.org for our closed testing event code if you wish to test at Oak Knoll. If you are not testing with us, please use our school member code 311430 to release your ISEE scores or 5500 to dispatch your SSAT scores to Oak Knoll’s Admission Office.

Oak Knoll requires recommendations from the applicant’s current English and math teachers, and School Counselor/Principal. You will email these educators directly through the application portal. Please request these recommendations after November 1 (so your teachers can get to know you a bit!) All recommendations must be received by the application deadline.

In the application portal, you will find the electronic Release of Records Form. Please email the form directly through the application portal. Your school will be prompted to upload your academic records to our portal through your request email. We ask for academic grades from the previous two school years, and the first report card from the current year (as soon as it is available.) We do not accept mailed transcripts.

We look forward to getting to know you and to showing you why we love Oak Knoll School. Please contact The Admission Office at admissions@oakknoll.org with any questions about the process or deadlines.
