Stage & Lighting Crews

Grades 7-12
 
Dive into the heart of Oak Knoll’s productions with our Stage and Lighting Crews, where creativity meets technical mastery. These dedicated groups of student technicians orchestrate all of the magic behind the curtain. The Stage Crew juggles sound, curtain calls, props, and the seamless coordination of imaginative set designs. Meanwhile, our Lighting Tech Crew paints each scene with light, crafting the mood and transporting audiences with their expert programming for every school event.

Cabaret

Grades 7-12
 
The Spring Cabaret provides a unique opportunity for students to choose, develop, and perform solo or small group material based on a given theme. Participants in this showcase collaborate to produce an intimate evening of theater.

Upper School Musical

Grades 7-12

Each winter, Oak Knoll, an independent school in New Jersey, stages a full-scale musical featuring titles like Shrek the Musical, Annie, and Anything Goes, offering rich theatrical opportunities for students in performance and production roles. Auditions are held in early fall, welcoming talents in music, drama, dance, and various technical arts.

Dramatica offers an immersive drama experience, blending stagecraft, acting, improvisation, and production magic, culminating in a fall production showcasing our actors’ dedication to their craft.

Lower School Musical

Grades 3-6

Every year, our Lower School transforms into a mini-Broadway with its musical performances, such as Into the Woods and Beauty and the Beast, captivating young minds with the magic of theater. This isn’t just an event; it’s a journey into acting, singing, and dancing that builds confidence, fosters teamwork, and ignites a lifelong passion for the performing arts.

Our K-2 Spring Arts Festival is a vibrant celebration of each child’s creative and unique spirit that puts our budding artists and performers in the spotlight. Pre-K Shines on Stage
