The transition from a coed environment to an all-girls Catholic school is no easy feat. For me, I definitely hit some bumps in the road when it came to finding my place as a member of a new community that had known each other for many years prior. I was scared, and rightfully so! However, through the advisory program and our peer leaders program, I found an outlet; a smaller group of people who I could talk to on a more personal level. High school is a difficult transition, no matter where you are, but Oak Knoll encourages each and every girl to feel at home.

A Community That Feels Like Sisterhood

Ever since arriving at Oak Knoll, I have felt a genuine sense of sisterhood and companionship with everyone on campus, regardless of their grade level or background. Being in an all-girls environment, you have nothing holding you back from being your true, authentic self. I have been able to take advantage of numerous opportunities offered on campus due to the encouragement from my peers and teachers, who genuinely want to see me succeed. And my parents and I have noticed the confidence with which I approach things in every aspect of my life. 

Teachers Who Truly Support You

The teachers and administrators at Oak Knoll are truly one of a kind as well. They want to see all of their students succeed, and you can physically feel that in every classroom you step into. I know that I can go to my teachers whenever I feel a little lost or just need someone to talk to. Their support is unwavering and sincere, and as a girl going through a very transformative time in her life, that is the best thing anyone can ask for. Every day that I step onto campus, I know it is an opportunity to try something new, help someone out, laugh, make mistakes, and learn. A community like Oak Knoll makes it possible to harness all those things that make you, you. 

Looking Ahead With Confidence

With the skills I have developed as a student here, I am confident that I have the ability to make a significant, positive impact on everything I do now. The leadership skills I have acquired, combined with the dedication I apply to my life, have made me more than capable of leaving a lasting legacy in the places I will go after my journey here.
