Oak Knoll Brand Guidelines

Every detail tells our story.

At Oak Knoll, our brand reflects who we are and how we show up in the world. These guidelines are designed to help ensure that every logo, color, and visual element communicates our story with clarity, consistency, and impact.

Official Logos

Our official Oak Knoll logo features the Latin phrase Parvis e glandibus quercus“great oaks from little acorns grow.” Developed with our Upper School Latin students during our centennial school year 2024-25, it symbolizes the full Oak Knoll journey — from our youngest learners in “Little Acorns” through graduation — and connects us to the oak trees that flourish on our campus.

More than a design, the logo reflects our mission, Holy Child values, and Catholic heritage. It serves as a reminder of our belief in every child’s potential to grow, to lead, and to make a meaningful impact on the world.

Usage Principle: Official logos should be used for all formal communications, publications, and external-facing materials. They represent the most professional expression of our identity and must be reproduced exactly as provided.

Alternate Logos

alternate logos

Our alternate logos include approved variations of the official Oak Knoll logo as well as select marks that honor our visual history. These designs allow for flexibility in different applications while maintaining brand consistency.

One alternate mark features the legacy language Faith, Wisdom, Service, a longtime expression of Oak Knoll’s values. While our refreshed identity emphasizes growth “from acorn to oak,” these historic elements remain an important part of our tradition and may be used in approved contexts and were designed by Oak Knoll’s Ganton family, particularly alumna Margo Ganton ’17 who brought the brand identity to life.

Usage Principle: Alternate logos may appear on spirit wear, student uniforms, or other informal applications where the official logo may feel too formal. In all cases, alternate marks must be used exactly as provided and never altered.

Spirit Logos

Spirit Logos

Our Spirit Logos — featuring the hand-drawn “OKS” created by Oak Knoll alumna Margo Ganton ’17 and our bold lioness head — are a spirited expression of school pride. These marks reflect the energy and creativity of our community and are worn proudly by our athletics teams, student groups, and across campus life.

While our athletes display these symbols in competition, every Oak Knoll student is a Royal. From artists to athletes, leaders to innovators, our Spirit Logos represent the strength, pride, and unity of the entire Oak Knoll community.

Usage Principle: Spirit Logos may be used on spirit wear, uniforms, athletics gear, and promotional materials designed for student life and community pride. These marks are not intended for formal school communications where official and alternate logos should be used.
