Strategic Plan

Dear Oak Knoll School Community,

We are very pleased to unveil our recently updated strategic plan for Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child. This document is the result of the work of our board of trustees, administration, faculty, and staff during the 2015-16 school year. The process was guided by Meitler Associates, the consulting firm that partnered with Oak Knoll and the Strategic Planning Committee.

After careful consideration and a review of the goals that were met from the 2011 plan, we set out to establish new goals for our school for the next three to five years. Our objective in developing new goals was focused on ensuring that Oak Knoll will be — and be recognized as — one of the finest independent Catholic schools in the country, preparing a diverse community of learners through rigorous academics, vibrant arts, competitive athletics, and service to others for lives of purpose and meaning in a global society.

We identified our six strategic goals as they relate to the following key areas of the school:

  • Holy Child Mission and Catholic Identity
  • Academic Excellence
  • Enrollment Management
  • Campus Environment
  • Financial Profile and Advancement
  • School Life

As you read through the document, you will see specific ideas and objectives that we have set in order to realize a particular goal for Oak Knoll. We are happy to report that some of the goals have already been achieved since the writing of the first draft of this document. Please take the time to read through this strategic plan and consider where you see certain elements at work in our school and how we might best achieve these goals and fulfill our promise.

Finally, we believe that this document will challenge us as a school community while building on our most successful programming. In many ways, this plan introduces a new strategic direction that ensures Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child meets its mission to provide an intellectually challenging and creative program of study that fosters excellence in every aspect of school life and prepares our graduates to “meet the wants of the age.”

Facta non verba,

Jeffrey Schroeder
