Oak Knoll boys CYO basketball team wins division championship with thrilling one-point victory

A group of Oak Knoll fourth graders won their CYO division championship, capping off an extremely successful inaugural season for the team.
The Pee Wee Red Division championship victory was earned by the slimmest of margins, a 17-16 win over a team of boys from St. Joseph Church in Maplewood.
The championship came after the team, coached by Oak Knoll fathers Craig Chobor, Salvador Garcia and Gerald Donini, won their Union County CYO division of seven teams with an impressive 11-1 regular season record.
The boys then won a playoff game at Oak Knoll’s Tisdall Hall gymnasium to set up the championship matchup.

Congratulations to our players and coaches!
