Nearly 80 members of Oak Knoll’s Classes of 2026 and 2027 earned national recognition for their academic achievement through the College Board’s AP Scholar Awards and the National Merit Scholarship Program.
The achievements of 79 current seniors and recent graduates were celebrated during general homeroom on Monday, September 21, reflecting tremendous performance across some of Oak Knoll’s most academically rigorous courses and, for National Merit honorees, recognition through one of the nation’s most established academic scholarship programs.
Among those recognized as AP Scholars were 48 members of the Class of 2026, representing approximately 70 percent of last year’s graduating class.
National Merit Commendation
The National Merit Scholarship Program, established in 1955, is a nationwide academic competition that recognizes high-achieving high school students and awards scholarships for undergraduate study.
