Meghan Hodgin

Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child’s Varsity Field Hockey team defeated Pingry, 3-0, in the North Jersey Non-Public Sectional Final on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, securing the program’s 14th consecutive sectional championship, its third straight postseason shutout against Pingry, and its 18th sectional title overall.

The win adds to an already dominant season for the No. 1-ranked team in New Jersey and No. 4 in the nation, highlighting a tradition of excellence that has defined Oak Knoll field hockey for decades.

Earlier this fall, the Royals claimed their 16th consecutive Union County Tournament Championship with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over third-seeded Johnson (14-4).

In sectional play, Oak Knoll earned a first-round bye before rolling past No. 8 Koinonia, 10-0, in the quarterfinals and shutting out No. 4 Kent Place, 4-0, in the semifinals.

With the win, the 21-1 Royals advance to the NJSIAA Non-Public Group Final, where they will face the winner of Wednesday’s 4 p.m. matchup between St. Joseph and Camden Catholic in Bordentown on Saturday, November 15, as they pursue back-to-back state crowns.

*This is the 14th-straight sectional title for Oak Knoll overall when combined with sectional titles previously won when the Royals competed in the North 2 Group.
