Oak Knoll Field Hockey Wins Non-Public State Championship Title
Meghan Hodgin

Oak Knoll’s Varsity Field Hockey team clinched the Non-Public State Championship title against longstanding rival Camden Catholic in Bordentown on Saturday, November 16, 2024.

Despite trailing 1-0 at the end of the first quarter, the resilient Royals turned the tide with an impressive two-goal counterattack in the second quarter, ultimately outpacing the Irish to secure a decisive 3-1 victory.

This triumph marked the second occasion this season that the third-ranked Royals overcame top-seeded Camden Catholic.

After enjoying a bye in the state's opening round, Oak Knoll breezed past St. Elizabeth in the Quarterfinals, triumphed over MKA in the Semifinals, and conquered Pingry in the Sectionals.

Additionally, the Royals celebrated their 15th consecutive Union County Championship this season, having last seized a state title in 2021. With an outstanding record of 17-6-1, Oak Knoll closes the season on a high note.
