Oak Knoll’s 26 kindergarten students marked an important milestone in their educational journeys during a graduation ceremony held Tuesday, June 3, 2026, in the Bonaventura Hall Chapel, surrounded by family members, teachers, and friends.

The celebration honored a year of growth, discovery, and learning while looking ahead to the exciting transition to first grade. Throughout the ceremony, students shared songs and participated in traditions that reflected both their accomplishments and the values that have guided them throughout the year.

A special blessing was offered by Msgr. John “Jack” Carroll, a longtime friend of Oak Knoll and former chair of the Board of Trustees. Students also participated in a reenactment of the Parable of the Sower, a time-honored tradition they will revisit when they graduate from the Lower School as sixth graders.

As part of the ceremony, each graduate presented a yellow rose to their parents in a heartfelt gesture of gratitude for their love and support.

Following the ceremony, students processed from the chapel to enthusiastic applause from family members and guests, then returned to their kindergarten classroom. There, graduates, their families, and teachers gathered for a special celebration to commemorate the occasion and the memories they have created together throughout the year.

Rooted in purpose and filled with curiosity, the members of Oak Knoll’s kindergarten class leave the year having embraced new challenges, formed lasting friendships, and discovered the joy of learning. As they prepare to enter first grade, they do so with confidence, enthusiasm, and a strong foundation for the journey ahead.
