Oak Knoll Marks Launch of the Holy Child Collaborative
James McEvoy

Our Lower and Upper School communities gathered in prayer last week to mark the launch of the Holy Child Collaborative, and in doing so, honored the enduring legacy of the Venerable Cornelia Connelly while embracing a shared future rooted in the Holy Child mission.

Grounded in faith and guided by purpose, the prayer services invited all present to consider how they are called to carry forward Cornelia’s vision in their daily lives.

The Holy Child Collaborative — Connecting Partners, Advancing Mission — emerges from the Society of the Holy Child Jesus’s strategic plan, a thoughtful response to a rapidly changing world. It calls members of the Oak Knoll community and all Holy Child schools to reimagine how we live out our mission today and into the future, strengthening the bonds between Sisters, lay partners, schools, and ministries.

According to the Society, the Collaborative is about people. It is about all who share in this mission, including Sisters, Associates, educators, staff, students, families, and friends, with each playing a role in bringing Cornelia’s charism to life.

Together, these individuals are united in a shared commitment: to reveal God’s love in the world through actions, relationships, and service to others.

As these prayer services indicate, this work is not carried out alone. It is sustained through community, shaped by faith, and guided by a collective sense of purpose, one that continues to grow and evolve while remaining deeply rooted in the spirit of Holy Child.
