Oak Knoll Students Earn National Merit Honor, AP Scholar Distinctions
James McEvoy

Nineteen Oak Knoll seniors were recognized in the 2025 Advanced Placement and 2026 National Merit Scholarship programs during a ceremony on September 29, 2025, in the Mother Mary Campion Center for the Performing Arts.

In addition to the Class of 2026 honorees, the Class of 2025 also received honors this fall. Twenty members of the class were recognized as AP Scholars last year, and this year, an additional 17 students earned the distinction, bringing the total to 37 — representing 60 percent of the graduating class.

“We are incredibly proud of our AP Scholars and our National Merit Commended Student, not just for their performance on these exams, but for their steady dedication to their studies, their intellectual curiosity, and their contributions to our community beyond just academics,” said Jennifer Wilson, Oak Knoll’s Director of College Counseling.

National Merit Commendation

The National Merit Scholarship Program, established in 1955, is a nationwide academic competition that recognizes top-performing high school students based on their PSAT/NMSQT scores. Each year, more than 1.3 million students enter the program for a chance at academic honors and college scholarships.
