On Saturday, January 18, 2025, the Oak Knoll swim team made waves outside the pool with an inspiring act of service that embodies the heart of our school’s mission. These student-athletes spent their weekend volunteering for the Saturdays in Motion program at the Somerset Hills YMCA, supporting children with autism and their families. Their efforts showcased leadership, empathy, and a commitment to making a positive impact.
Arthur L. Raynes, founder of the Saturdays in Motion program, described the team’s efforts as "kind, caring, and hardworking."
This meaningful event was organized by Clara Vales ’25, whose leadership exemplifies what it means to be an Oak Knoll ambassador. Clara was joined by fellow swimmers Liza Rogers ’25, Iona Dowden ’25, Cookie Motroni ’26, Keira Ardise ’25, Sandrine Jiang ’27, Kate McCaffery ’25, and Lila Lobosco ’27.
We are incredibly proud of these students for stepping up in such an extraordinary way. Their actions remind us all of the importance of service and the impact of kindness. Thank you to these remarkable young women for representing Oak Knoll with such grace and generosity!
