Reagan Moore ’27 has just completed her freshman year at Oak Knoll, and she has already been shattering records and making track history. She recently competed in the NJSIAA Meet of Champions and clinched the 800-meter race in 2:09.43. She becomes the first person in school history to finish first in the NJSIAA Meet of Champions.
Earlier in the season, Moore ’27 made history in the 400-meter dash in the Union County Championships with a phenomenal time of 55.61 seconds. This incredible feat not only crowned her the second fastest in New Jersey, trailing just behind former Olympic gold medalist Sydney McLaughlin’s record of 53.78 seconds but also established her as the second-fastest freshman in Union County history.
In Wednesday’s contest, Moore’s final time beat her ultimate goal of running a sub-2:10 race and put Oak Knoll on the mid-distance map in the State of New Jersey.
Less than a week ago, Moore claimed the state championship title in the 400-meter race at the Non-Public A State Championship, held on June 7 and 8, 2024, at Stockton University.
On June 15, Moore competed in the New Balance Nationals to conclude her storied freshman season. She clocked the fastest freshman time in the championship division. Oak Knoll's team set several personal and school records at the meet.
Our track and field team has enjoyed a powerful spring season, including clinching the Mountain Division title in the Union County Conference Championships in May and smashing several school records at the historic Penn Relays in April.
