Step Back in Time with Oak Knoll’s Centennial Exhibit
Meghan Hodgin

We are thrilled to invite you to stop by the Grace Hall lobby to explore our latest Centennial exhibit, offering a unique glimpse into life at Oak Knoll during the 1930s. This captivating display transports visitors to a pivotal period in our history — just a decade after the school’s founding—and highlights the remarkable experiences of our early students.

Thanks to the generosity of alumnae Lucille Haugh Cardone ’38 and Margaret Shea McGowan ’38, this exhibit is a heartfelt tribute to Oak Knoll’s formative years. Among the artifacts are cherished treasures that reflect the spirit, traditions, and dedication that have always been at the heart of our community. Lucille, honored as a 1989 Distinguished Alumna, is remembered for her unwavering support of Oak Knoll and her contributions to her community. Margaret, equally inspiring, co-founded a mother’s group and devoted herself to serving her parish with love and care.

This rare look at our history is the latest in a series of Centennial exhibits celebrating Oak Knoll’s rich legacy. Earlier displays centered on the founding of Bonaventura Hall and the school’s earliest chapters. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with the stories and values that continue to shape our present and future. Visit the Grace Hall lobby today to experience the magic of Oak Knoll’s past!

Thanks so much to OKS Archivist James McEvoy (also our Associate Director of Marketing and Communications) for curating the exhibit!
