Welcome to the online Oak Knoll alumnae/i community, and a special welcome to the new alumnae/i – our Class of 2015! We also send our congratulations to our grade 6 graduates as they either come up the hill to the Upper School or leave Oak Knoll for their new schools!
Oak Knoll alums are an exemplary group of individuals who carry the spirit of the Holy Child mission with them long after their days as students. Since graduating from Oak Knoll, I have been proud to be associated with the school, the administrators and even the students. More than 11 years ago, after the birth of my triplets, I happily accepted a spot on the board. I knew I wanted to get out of the house and do something for myself, but it turned into so much more. I’m excited to work with the board members and our alumnae/i community to ensure the goals and ideas of the association are reached. This website will provide all alumnae/i with important information throughout the year, so please check back often.
The purpose of the Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child Alumnae/i Association is to stimulate alumnae/i interest in Oak Knoll, and to participate in activities and functions leading to the betterment of the school. There are many Holy Child traditions that we all strive to live by, yet the one the board feels strongly about is “Actions, not words”, this was the motto that Cornelia Connelly gave to our school. Together with more than 20 committed members, the board unites and supports the Oak Knoll families throughout the year. We put our efforts into fundraising for the annual fund, our own board sponsored scholarship, and our “extras” fund for any deserving students.
The Alumnae/i Association has identified outreach, reunion, social networking, and participation as areas of importance these next few years. You can help us out in a variety of ways. Update your information with us so we can stay in touch. Also, become a fan of the Oak Knoll Alumnae/i Association on Facebook or follow us on Twitter @oakknollalum. You can also keep up to date with our class notes online at www.oakknoll.org/classnotes
. One of the board’s focus is to plan and carry out the annual spring reunion. This year, Reunion 2016 is on April 22 and 23 and will honor the classes ending in 1 and 6. Come say hello at the Alumnae/i tent located at the fields and watch the Royals in action games during Homecoming, or just meet us on campus for dinner and socializing with friends.
Please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
with any questions or suggestions, I or any board member would be happy to listen to your thoughts, concerns and ideas. Once again thank you for all your support and I wish you the best start to the 2015-16 school year.
