The 2017 season was a memorable one as the Royals took first place in the Valley Division at the Union County Conference Championships at Governor Livingston High School. The coup de grâce came when the team captured the first non-public south B State Sectional title since 2015.

A series of school records also were broken during the season when the 4x400 relay, the 4x200 relay, the three-person javelin and shot put teams all tied or broke school records.

Julia DeSantis '18 also earned UCIAC Third Team in the high jump, Asher Marie Coates '18 earned Union County Conference All-Valley Division in the 1600, Nicole Githens '17, Julia Bartie '20, Annalise Cavaliere '19, and Mackenzie Kenny '17 earned Union County Conference All-Valley Division in the 4x400 relay. Additionally, Githens and DeSantis earned UCC Valley Division Honorable Mention.
