Summer Adventures Day Camp

There's Something for Everyone at Summer Adventures

A Summer Camp with Options!
Summer Adventures at Oak Knoll is a great place for summer fun and adventure! We offer programs for preschoolers all the way through high school children. Our dedicated staff returns year after year to help campers develop skills in athletics, arts, swimming, and science, all while having fun, making new friends, and creating lifelong memories.

All campers receive a nutritious nut-free lunch, snack and a Summer Adventures t-shirt. Extended care (early morning and afternoon) is available.

Come to Camp for 1-7 Weeks - Your Choice
We have structured our camp to better fit the needs of both campers and parents, allowing for campers to come to our camp for one week, seven weeks, or any time in between.

The 2017 Summer Adventures program will begin on June 26, offering summer adventures to children ages 3-16. Age-appropriate divisions within the camp offer enriching, active, creative opportunities for playful learning.

A Summer Camp You Can Trust
Summer Adventures at Oak Knoll is accredited by the American Camp Association. We take pride in the fact that our counselors include certified teachers, college students, and high school students.

Head counselors are certified teachers, and a registered nurse is in attendance each day.

Campers Use of Our Extensive Facilities and Campus

The campus of Oak Knoll provides the perfect backdrop for a summer camp experience! Campers have full use of:
  • A multi-sport turf field.
  • A regulation size basketball court.
  • 3 tennis courts.
  • Swimming lessons for younger campers are provided in a 20’ x 40’ above-ground pool.
  • Older campers swim at an off-campus facility, during our busiest weeks of camp.
  • The Mother Mary Campion Center for the Performing Arts, a 520-seat auditorium with a performance stage.
  • The air conditioned dining hall, provides a cool lunch setting for campers. A full, healthy lunch is included daily, even for half-day campers with choice of hot entree, sandwich, salad bar, and dessert.
  • A dance studio, music studio, and art studio, round out our program.

Oak Knoll Summer Counselors are Certified

Our highly dedicated staff is made up of certified teachers, college students and high school students. Certified teachers serve as head group counselors and lead instructors for camp activities. College and high school students serve as assistants in camp groups and activities.

We carefully select staff members who have an interest in children. Staff members receive CPR, AED, and first aid training, as well as training on policies and procedures specific to the Summer Adventures program and American Camp Association prior to the start of each season.

The counselor/camper ratios are 1:6 for first grade, 1:8 for second and third grades and 1:10 for fourth and fifth grades.

Oak Knoll is ACA Accredited

The Summer Adventures program is accredited by American Camp Association (ACA). What does this mean to our families? It shows that we care enough to undergo a thorough review of our operation to maintain accreditation. ACA camps must meet up to 300 standards for health, safety and program quality. These standards are recognized by courts of law and government regulators as standards of the camp community. Accreditation is voluntary; our continued accreditation reflects our commitment to maintaining industry standards.
