Young Entrepreneurs Academy

Oak Knoll School's Young Entrepreneurs Academy for Women is a groundbreaking and exciting entrepreneurship program that transforms middle and high school students into real, confident entrepreneurs. Through the program, students in grades 7-12 will generate business ideas, conduct market research, write business plans, pitch a panel of investors, get real funding and launch their own REAL companies. From students to CEOs. The Big Idea, The Pitch and The Launch - it's all in Oak Knoll School's Young Entrepreneurs Academy for Women. Meet legendary entrepreneurs, secure real launch funding, win prize packages and start a new business – starting this summer!

  • Cost: The four-week program fee is $1,920, which includes daily lunch, guest speakers, field trips, transportation for field trips and all class materials.
  • EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT: For applications received before May 4, 2018, applicants may use the fee waiver code (Early18) AND receive $100 off the total cost of the program.

  • Joe Bennett

    Joe Bennett is the lead teacher at Oak Knoll School’s Young Entrepreneurs Academy for Women in Summit, New Jersey. He is currently a member of the Mathematics Department at Oak Knoll’s All-Girls’ Upper School, where he is also the founding faculty adviser of the Future Business Leaders of America. He previously began a similar program in California before joining Oak Knoll in 2016.

    Joe Bennett
    Prior to Oak Knoll, Bennett was principal of the Arroyo Paseo Charter School in San Diego. He has also served as dean of students, director of professional development and department chair in various private and charter schools.
    Bennett earned a bachelor’s degree in economics with a minor in applied mathematics from the University of California, Irvine. He is currently pursuing his master's in Math for Teaching at Harvard University. He is also planning to pursue doctoral studies focusing on the potential effects of single gender education on math performance.

Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child is a Catholic independent school coeducational from kindergarten to grade 6 and all girls in grades 7 to 12. Oak Knoll was founded in 1924 and is one of 10 schools in the Holy Child Network of Schools that provides independent Catholic education across the United States.
