My time in the Oak Knoll community has been defined by connection and encouragement. There hasn’t been a day that has gone by that I feel like I am alone. The friends I have made here are ones that I know could last a lifetime, and I will forever be grateful to Oak Knoll for that. The opportunities I’ve had here, from learning in class to building friendships, have shaped my confidence and perspective. I’ll never forget my freshman year physics class, which was a lot more difficult than I thought it was going to be. The class pushed me to try my hardest, and taught me that failure is OK, and that you learn more from your failures than anything else. To me, being part of OKS means contributing to a culture of kindness and integrity while knowing I’m surrounded by people who want the best for one another.
