Coming to Oak Knoll for my freshman year was a huge change for me. From being at a private elementary school to a public middle school, I thought no new school would be as big a switch as I had already made. However, coming to Oak Knoll, I felt for the first time what it was truly like to have a comforting, supportive, and welcoming environment that wants to help you become the best version of yourself. Oak Knoll's faculty and staff push you to challenge yourself while also ensuring you succeed. As a member of the field hockey and track & field team, I have been able to bond with classmates of all grades, been encouraged to jump out of my comfort zone and try new things, and have made core memories in the positive environment Oak Knoll sports has built for its athletes. To me, Oak Knoll is not just a school, but a true safe space where I have made friendships that will last a lifetime, laughed harder than I ever had, and challenged myself in more ways than I ever thought I could. I can confidently say that coming to Oak Knoll was the best decision I could have ever made, and I am beyond grateful to have a place I can call my second home.
