I came to Oak Knoll in sixth grade, and I was so nervous about starting over in a new environment. I had never gone to an all-girls or Catholic school and was unsure how I would fit into a close-knit community. But from the very first week, I already felt like I belonged. The girls in my grade were truly welcoming, introducing me to everyone, and showing me around. The teachers showed that they cared about me not just as a student, but as a person too. Joining track and ice hockey helped me find a group of people with the same interests who became like a second family to me. Through my time at Oak Knoll, I have built friendships that will last forever, gained confidence, and feel prepared to start my next journey. I am so grateful to have found a place where I feel seen and encouraged.
