Coming to Oak Knoll as a ninth grader, a new environment, new friends, and new teachers, I was worried about how I would adjust to all of the “news” of high school. I remember on my first day, walking onto the hill, and immediately being welcomed with signs and warm smiles from so many upperclassmen. This is when I knew that Oak Knoll was the place. All of the new aspects of school I had been worried about vanished as I became easily familiar with life at Oak Knoll. I not only got used to the schedule and classes, but I learned what it means to be a part of the “sisterhood” that Oak Knoll has. Because of Oak Knoll, I have found myself trying new activities and growing as a student, which has led me to become more confident and outgoing. I am endlessly grateful to be part of the Oak Knoll community that feels more like a second home, full of supportive and welcoming peers and mentors.
