My experience at Oak Knoll has been shaped by the immense support I feel at this school. When I arrived in fifth grade, I was truly surprised by how welcoming the Oak Knoll students were. Growing up, school had always been a place of great anxiety for me, but our school became a safe space for me because of the strong emotional support system I had built up here. There is always someone I can talk to or ask for help whenever I am going through a hard time. In addition, my classmates and teachers support me academically. The girls in my class are driven and constantly push and motivate me to work harder and take more risks in school. The lack of judgment allows me to live out my full potential as a student and to grow in ways I never expected. The support and sense of belonging I have found at Oak Knoll have shaped both my education and the person that I will grow to become.
