Being a part of the OKS community means being heard, appreciated, and included. To me specifically, this means being surrounded by people who share similar morals and value me and what I bring to the community. The closeness and love that bind us allow us to celebrate successes, but also be empathic when someone needs support. To me, what stands out the most in our community is the relationships that take place between different grades and even faculty. As a freshman, not knowing many people, I was nervous to come to a new school, yet this community made my transition so easy, and I’m incredibly grateful for the friendships that will travel with me long after my time at OKS!
