A Range of Activities Led by Certified Counselors
Day Camp offers a well-rounded experience allowing campers to discover and explore their interests, values and talents in a structured and nurturing environment. Through supportive encouragement offered by certified teachers and college-age counselors, campers have an opportunity to experience self-confidence, a sense of pride and accomplishment. Each fun-filled day, campers are taught by specialists in music, art, sports, including tennis and swimming. Students in grades 2-5 can also enjoy lacrosse and archery. Campers have the opportunity to acquire, practice and perfect valuable skills including problem solving, teamwork and making healthy and safe choices. Campers’ days are filled with playing, socializing, exploring and experimenting in the company of friends and counselors.

Swimming is offered to campers each day. First-grade campers receive their swim lessons in our on-campus pool. Swim lessons are conducted in our 20′ by 40′ above-ground pool that is four feet deep — no deep end. Our certified lifeguards provide the swim lessons with two guards in the water and one guard on deck. In addition, at least one group counselor remains at the pool to assist with group supervision. Second through fifth-graders will enjoy free swim as well.

Day Camp Schedule

  • Campers attend full-day sessions from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Each group has its own schedule, with the day divided into 40-minute periods.

Nursery Camp

Our Nursery Camp is for children ages three and four, who have successfully mastered toilet training. Preschoolers can enjoy fun indoor and outdoor activities with certified teachers specializing in preschool education or equivalent experience. Nursery Camp will help your child learn to share, take turns, and get along with other children. Nursery campers will enjoy the activity-filled days offering music, sports and games, arts and crafts, dance, gymnastics, and water activities (sprinklers only). We recognize the importance of free play to develop socialization and group skills, as well as making friends, so part of every day allows for self-guided play. Our staff provides lots of individual attention to create a successful camp experience. The counselor-to-camper ratio is 1:5, with a maximum group size of 18. Nursery Camp is great for building a child’s sense of competence.

Kinder Camp

Kinder Camp is specifically for children entering kindergarten. Our Kinder Camp program provides opportunities for children to discover, investigate and explore through hands-on experiences. Head counselors are certified teachers and lead the campers through an action-packed day in music, dance, sports and games, arts and crafts, tennis, and swim lessons. Swim lessons are conducted on campus in our 20′ by 40′ above-ground pool that is four feet deep — no deep end. Our certified lifeguards provide the swim lessons with two guards in the water and one guard on deck. In addition, at least one group counselor remains at the pool to assist with group supervision.

Each day, campers have the opportunity for socialization through activities that foster sharing and cooperation. Our Kinder Camp program will help your child adjust to new environments and have a great sense of self. Our low staff-to-camper ratio of 1:6, with a maximum group size of 18, offers personal interaction and assistance to each camper. Adventures Kinder Camp helps children gain self-confidence and self-esteem by providing a supervised, positive environment.

Extreme Sports Camp | Grades 3-9

The Extreme Sports Camp is dedicated to our growing athletes in grades 3 through 9.

This camp is designed for all levels of players — beginner, intermediate or advanced. Campers will have an opportunity to participate in a wide range of sports rather than one specific sport — providing campers with a fun-packed day. Each day, campers will receive instruction appropriate for their developmental level through drills, practice, and games, exposing campers to multiple sports and athletic experiences.

Campers will have an opportunity to improve their game in basketball, baseball, soccer, lacrosse, tennis and flag football. Campers spend time swimming and participating in other camp activities. The group may be divided as necessary into groups according to age and athletic ability. Group activities provide an environment that promotes teamwork, integrity and good sportsmanship. We hope to plant the seeds for a lifetime of sports passion, appreciation and, above all, participation.

Camp Counselors with Hands-on Experience

Our Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program offers opportunities for hands-on experience working with children in our general camp groups. CITs work closely with head counselors, who are certified teachers, to develop skills of leadership, organization, teaching and problem solving. Participants will take on expanded responsibilities and contribute their talents as they develop their leadership skills while working with camp groups. This program lays the foundation for becoming a counselor.

Please note: Completion of this program does not automatically ensure a staff position.

If you enjoy the outdoors and like to work with children, this is the camp for you! When you leave camp, you will take home with you new skills, lasting friendships and a lifetime of memories. This is a great stepping stone toward future endeavors.
