Oak Knoll Athletics: Fostering Holistic Development, Leadership, and Teamwork

At Oak Knoll, we believe in the transformative power of sports for our students’ holistic development and growth. Our Athletics department emphasizes leadership, character, wellness, and service. Starting in our Lower School from grades 3-6, our athletics program introduces young athletes to various sports, enhancing their skills, team spirit, and sportsmanship. In the 7-12 all-girls Upper School, our program further nurtures a competitive and fulfilling experience for student-athletes with a commitment to excellence.

The Royal Way

Oak Knoll Athletics adheres to the school’s faith-based mission of the education and growth of the whole child. Through challenges and triumphs, Oak Knoll student-athletes commit themselves to embody The Royal Way in all aspects of athletic participation. The principles of The Royal Way will provide skills and lessons that transcend a student-athlete’s time at Oak Knoll. These principles are:

  • Learning leadership through sports
  • Winning with humility; losing with grace; competing with character
  • Focusing on spiritual, mental, and physical wellness
  • Upholding a tradition of excellence
  • Building relationships that last
  • Supporting the school’s commitment to service to others

The Lower School sports program at Oak Knoll is designed to foster skill development, team dynamics, and sportsmanship. It emphasizes familiarizing students with game strategies, ensuring every student has the chance to participate. Practices and games occur twice weekly as this program strikes a balance between competitiveness and inclusivity, promoting a healthy introduction to sports.
