Prepare for success in Algebra I with our intensive summer course designed for students gearing up for this crucial mathematical journey. This course utilizes ALEKS (Assessment and Learning in Knowledge Spaces), an adaptive learning platform, to provide a personalized and effective approach to mastering Algebra I concepts. 

Key Features:

1. Private one-on-one sessions with teacher via Zoom: Throughout the course, students can schedule four sessions with an Oak Knoll teacher. Each session is an hour in length and will take place via Zoom. Once registered for the course, each student will select a day/time that meets their schedule for these sessions. Zoom sessions will take place between the time period of June 24 – August 8. 
2. ALEKS Adaptive Learning: Experience a customized learning journey with ALEKS, an adaptive platform that tailors the curriculum to your individual strengths and areas for improvement. This ensures a personalized and efficient learning experience.
3. Comprehensive Algebra I Coverage: Dive deep into the core concepts of Algebra I, covering topics such as linear equations, inequalities, functions, polynomials, and more. Master foundational skills that are essential for success in advanced mathematics.
4. Interactive Learning Modules: Engage with interactive learning modules and assessments that reinforce understanding and retention of key algebraic principles. These modules are designed to cater to various learning styles and provide a dynamic learning experience. 
5. Real-World Applications: Explore real-world applications of algebraic concepts to understand their relevance in everyday life and future academic pursuits. Connect abstract mathematical ideas to practical scenarios, enhancing your problem-solving skills.
6. Progress Tracking and Feedback: Receive immediate feedback on your performance through ALEKS’s real-time tracking. Monitor your progress, identify strengths and weaknesses, and receive targeted recommendations to strengthen your algebraic skills.
7. Pre-Assessment and Post-Assessment: Begin the course with a pre-assessment to identify your current knowledge level. At the end of the course, take a post-assessment to measure your progress and solidify your grasp of Algebra I concepts.
8. Three-Month Access: Access to the online course begins on June 24. Students will have access to this course for three months. This will provide an excellent secondary resource as students begin the school year. It will also allow them to refine their math skills for the entire summer!
