OKS Lax 5K For Charity

Now to June 8, 2020

Run or walk a 5k now through Monday, June 8, 2020 — the date that we had hoped to be playing for another Tournament of Champions title.

These past couple of weeks have really emphasized the fact that the members of the Oak Knoll lacrosse team play the game of lacrosse for reasons that go beyond the game. For most of us, lacrosse has been a big part of our lives and we love nothing more than stepping out on the field and working hard. Our time playing lacrosse has opened us up to countless memories and friends, but it has also taught us that we are a part of a larger community. We have been given a platform to serve others and Oak Knoll lacrosse has really used this platform to help those in need.

Supporting Lance Fenderson and the Casey Powell World Lacrosse Foundation

This year, we were fortunate enough to be introduced to Lance Fenderson. Unfortunately after sustaining a serious injury that left him paralyzed, he was unable to actively participate in sports anymore. This horrific injury put his life on a detour but it did not stop Lance as he continues to inspire both the people around him and our whole team. This run is dedicated to Lance and the Casey Powell World Lacrosse Foundation and will take place during the weeks leading up of the 2020 Tournament of Champions game.

We want to continue to use our love for the game and platform to support others and help in any way that we can. For Oak Knoll Lacrosse, hard work and support for one another is shown both on and off the field. With your help, we can continue to grow the love for the game and lend a little bit of that same love to everyone around. Since it is a unique time and we would like to honor both Oak Knoll lacrosse’s graduating seniors and Lance Fenderson, also a member of the Class of 2020, a suggested donation amount is $20.20, but all donations will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your continued support and GO ROYALS!
