Tickets on Sale Now for James and the Giant Peach

Oak Knoll’s Upper School Drama Program announces that tickets are now on sale for the musical “James and the Giant Peach.” The show will take place in the Mother Mary Campion Center for the Performing Arts from February 23-25, 2023, with 7 p.m. performances on Thursday and Friday evening and a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday.

This well-loved Roald Dahl adventure of the same name, portrays a whimsical and magical journey of a child out to change his life and find a real family. The show will feature 19 talented students from the Upper School.

After a stampeding rhino kills his parents, James Trotter spends time in an orphanage before being sent to the only family he has left, his aunts Spiker and Sponge. But his aunts are cruel and torment poor James mercilessly. Urged by mysterious storytellers, James creates a magical potion in an effort to change his situation. But the magic gets away from him; instead, he creates a giant peach and human-sized insects. The aunts see a way to make money from this impressive fruit. However, the insects decide they have to escape, and with James, they cut the peach from the tree–and their adventure begins.

Tickets are $15 each and can be purchased online here
