Oak Knoll’s Fall Sports Teams Achieve On and Off the Field

Mascot logoOak Knoll’s fall student-athletes fought hard on and off the field, serving the community while winning several county, sectional, and invitational tournaments contests.

In a call to the school’s mission to serve the community, the cross country team volunteered at the Bridges Outreach Streets 2 Homes 5K in September, and the field hockey team made 100 Thanksgiving holiday bags for the Interfaith Food Pantry of Morristown.

On the field, the varsity field hockey team finished with a record of 17-6 and a conference record of 8-1. They won the Union County Tournament and were Non-Public North Sectional Champions. They won both of their assigned contests against nationally ranked powerhouse teams at the prestigious Max FH National Invitational.

The varsity cross-country team placed second and third in the Bill Blaskopf Invitational and Union County Conference. They finished 8th overall out of all teams in Union County and at the Non-Public A State Championships.

The varsity soccer team finished with a record of 17-3-1. They competed impressively in local and county tournaments and took on several challenging out-of-conference games.

The varsity tennis team ended with a 12-6 record, placing 5th out of 17 teams in the Union County Tournament. They were undefeated in the Mountain Division and 10-2 within the Union County Conference.

Varsity volleyball had some great games, including an exciting victory over St. Dominic with a score of 25-11.

Congratulations to all our 2022 fall athletes and coaches on incredible seasons. Oak Knoll’s talented and devoted coaches work tirelessly to teach the fundamentals of the sport and important life lessons through our athletic programs.
