Get Involved with Oak Knoll Parents’ Association

Oak Knoll offers many ways for parents and friends to get included through the dynamic organization of the Parents’ Association, a group of dedicated parent volunteers who support the social, spiritual, educational, and financial programs of the school.

Whether large or small events, there are opportunities for everyone to share their talents with the Oak Knoll School community. Spiritiual opportunities abound, there are retreats, mother-daughter communion events, among many others.

The association also works to foster the building of relationships among students, parents, administration, faculty, and staff at Oak Knoll School, enriching school life and promoting cooperation between parents.

The Parents’ Association promotes parental involvement in the Oak Knoll community by encouraging volunteering in its activities, depending upon parents’ abilities and availability. An important function of the association is to help raise funds to support the school by sponsoring events, programs, and projects. Planning meetings for our fundraising events are open, and we hope our current parents will visit our calendar to learn how they can get involved.

Parents' Association Services

Three times per year (once a season), we show our appreciation to the faculty and staff for all that they do for our children.

Donations to this fund provide a Christmas bonus to all faculty and staff.

Grade coordinators (one per grade) liaise with teachers and are responsible for class communications, grade parent gatherings, class parties, and volunteer recruitment. In the Lower School, assistant grade coordinators are responsible for hospitality, ensuring that all new families feel welcomed and easily integrate into the grade.

Participate in open houses; serve as a buddy family by making calls to families of newly accepted students over the summer; and work throughout the fall to incorporate new families into our community.

Each spring, uniform exchanges are organized so families can donate gently used uniforms and pick up some uniform staples.
