Upper School students lead a prayer service

Mass and Prayer

Prayer is the great source from whence the graces of God flow.– Cornelia Connelly, Founder of the Society of the Holy Child Jesus

The celebration of Mass and Prayer provides the essential worship experiences of our Catholic faith for the entire school community. Students and faculty may participate directly in the planning and celebration of all liturgies, which are the center of prayer life at Oak Knoll.

Mass and Prayer opportunities in the Upper School include:

  • Sacraments (weekly Mass open to the entire community)
  • Mass on holy days of obligation and Reconciliation during Lent
  • Prayer services throughout the year, which include celebrating important moments in our history as part of the Holy Child Network of Schools
  • Prayer services on Friday mornings during Lent
  • Monthly Rosary Beads for Unity
  • Grade-level reflection days during which entire grades leave campus to pray, reflect, and bond as a class

Optional retreats (overnight for grades 9-12; afternoon/evenings for grades 7-8) for further opportunity to pray, reflect and bond
