State-of-the-Art Athletic Facilities
At Oak Knoll School, we are currently analyzing and planning upgrades to our athletic facilities, including our 10,000-square-foot Tisdall Hall gymnasium (83 Ashland Road, Summit, NJ 07901), our turf field and to our Chatham Fields athletic complex, the home to our soccer, field hockey, lacrosse and softball teams in nearby Chatham (300 Green Village Road, Green Village, NJ 07935). Additionally, we rent access to a variety of athletic facilities for additional practice and game usage.

We are fortunate to have a wonderful artificial turf field located on our Summit campus. This field is primarily used for our grades 5 through 8 sports programs along with providing an incredible space for our physical education classes for all grades. The field is lined in order to provide game ready conditions for our Grades 5-6 and 7-8 field hockey, soccer, and lacrosse programs. Our Lower School also uses this space for recess and other events such as field day.

Oak Knoll is proud to offer a beautiful outdoor facility located within 5 miles of our Summit campus. This site offers a fantastic two-story pavilion for team gatherings and school events. The building includes restrooms, an athletic training room, an athletic equipment room, and a staff room. There are two grass fields that offer top quality game and practice facilities primarily for our high school level lacrosse, field hockey, and soccer programs in addition to a diamond for our softball program.

Our high school level tennis teams (varsity and JV ) host all home matches for the season at this fantastic facility located in Westfield. The team has access to six courts on a daily basis throughout the season.

Rock Ice Center is one of two arenas our varsity girls’ ice hockey team uses during the season for games and practices.

Our high school level swim team enjoys using the aquatic facilities at The Connection. This facility is located just down the street within a half a mile from our campus.

There are three well-maintained “Har-Tru” tennis courts on our Summit campus. These courts are utilized by our grades 7 to 8 after-school program, as well as our varsity and JV tennis teams and our physical education classes.

Tisdall Hall is our home site for the majority of the indoor sports we offer as well as for our physical education, health, and dance classes. This facility offers a spacious gym along with a strength training room, an athletic trainer room, two classrooms for health and driver’s education, and a state-of-the-art dance studio. The nurse’s office is also located in this building.
